要成功應對GMAT數(shù)學中的數(shù)據(jù)充分性問題，需要貫徹如下的一些策略和技巧：
1. GMAT數(shù)據(jù)充分性問題的說明相當復雜。做真題的時候，在著手解題之前，花些時間冷靜的學習一下數(shù)據(jù)充分性問題的說明，是很有必要的。熟讀、理解整個說明，熟記下面這五個選項，這五個選項對于每一道數(shù)據(jù)充分性問題都是一樣的。考試時，千萬不要再花時間看說明了。A. Statement (1) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (2) alone is not sufficient to answer the question asked;2. 搞清楚，你的目標是判定是否有足夠的信息來回答問題。不要花時間進行任何運算。GMAT數(shù)據(jù)充分性問題主要是考查數(shù)學概念，而不是數(shù)字運算的能力(那是標準多項選擇的任務)。如果你發(fā)現(xiàn)自己在進行大量的筆頭運算，那你一定走錯了方向。
B. Statement (2) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (1) alone is not sufficient to answer the question asked;
C. BOTH statements (1) and (2) TOGETHER are sufficient to answer the question asked, but NEITHER statement ALONE is sufficient;
D. EACH statement ALONE is sufficient to answer the question asked;
E. Statements (1) and (2) TOGETHER are NOT sufficient to answer the question asked, and additional data specific to the problem are needed.
(1) ABC is the base word.這道例題中，一看第一項就沒有說明生成新詞的規(guī)則，因此A可以排除，D可以排除。剩下的工作就只有結合兩條說明項，檢查選項C的正誤了。
(2) If C immediately follows B, then C can be moved to the front of the code word to generate another word.
(1) 3x = 24
(2) 4x < 36
很明顯，第一條說明項就可以回答答題干中的問題，C和E就都被排除了。剩下的就看說明項(2)能不能確定x的數(shù)值了。
